When I was travelling to Dambulla for Yakkuragala hike I was suddenly saw this small rock and quickly turned to the sub road and parked the bike at the nearest house. And I got some informations about the nature of the place and any foot path and started my solo hike to the rock. This was having many historical backgrounds related to Danbadeniya kingdom.
I think this is the shortest hike in my life as I finished entire hike within 20 minutes. I just quickly ran through the foot path and came to the starting point of the staircase. That was not an easy climb due to the steepness and the windy environment. However I came to the top and had some photographs and observed more mountains so far.
After that I got down from the rock and came to the bike. I think it is not easy to get down from there rather than climb it. However climbing on rainy days will be a big trouble and this climb is not suitable for the people who are not much confident for climbing like this.
After that while I continue my travel to Dambulla I saw two peaks situated in left hand side. I turned to a small carpet road which goes parallel to the cancel and ride up to a small junction where there were few people and I asked informations about those mountains. A Mountain situated on the paddy is called Moragasgoda Kanda and the other one have like two peaks and it’s Kotagala kanda. Since I don’t have much time to conquer these peaks I searched for some more details such as looking for the risks and ability of conquering them. Fortunately I found a person who told me some information about the hike and I have visited Moragasgoda kanda since it was bit easy and close to the road. However I was added Kotagala kanda my list and hope we will find a day to climb these small mountains in 2019.
