  • Visit to “Kuti” in Kukulamalapotha & Dhaigala

We reach to Illukkumbura around 2.00 p.m & from there we started our journey to Kukulamalapotha village. First we went to last house in the village. Earlier we informed them to prepare “Dhawal Danaya” for monk. They prepared it & waiting for us. First we told them what we done from morning. They offered “Gilanpasa” for monk & tea for us. Finally we came to “Kutiya” around 3.30 p.m. First we clean the “Kutiya” premises. We have free couple of hours before getting dark. Previously we were unable to see down side of the river. Then we decided to walk  & see the down side of the river. We walk on river bank because water level high & slippery rocks in the river, Finally we walked 4 – 5 km’s through forest along the river. When getting dark we decided to stop our journey & return back to “Kutiya”. Otherwise we were in big trouble & it was very difficult to walk in the forest in dark . On that way we saw many beautiful places in the river hidden from many eyes. Around 6.30 p.m we able to came to the place. First we had a good bath & it washed our tiredness.

Next day morning we waked up around 6.00 a.m & cooked rice & one curry. First we offered “Heel Danaya” for monk. We had our breakfast near river after having good bath. Around 9.00 a.m we left from “Kutiya”. We came to Illukkumbura around 10.00 a.m & monk came from “Poththatawela” is waiting for us there. We started our return journey & “Dahawal Dhanaya” offered  for monk from our relative’s house at Kaikawala. Next target was reach to “Kutiya” in Dhaigala before getting dark. Around 4.00 p,m we were able to reach Dhaigala. We got directions from villagers & we went to it. We have to walk 2 – 3 km’s from the village to “Kutiya”. It was spacious large cave. Soon after  we reach there the monk decided to wait there. We can’t even imagine theirs simplest life style. They highly focused only to their greatest destination. Then we again came to village & brought essential items from village shop. Less than 1 hour we manage to clean the whole  “Kutiya” premises. Nearby water stream there &  it can fulfill all water requirements. After arranging everything we left from “Kutiya” after worshiping Monk. From that time onwards he will walk to his great target / destination. We got great satisfaction about what we done & we were able to help in small way to the Monk’s great life. After completing everything we came to home around 11.00 p.m. We completed another memorable journey with lots of happy memories.
