We noted this hike from a long time when Madushaka showed us Google Satellite maps. But due to some transportation and raining situations we postponed this hike. However we were able to complete this suddenly when we had a free time in dry season of Nuwaraeliya.

This is a bit dangerous and difficult hike as we need to walk along the upward of Uma Oya. We headed to Bomburu falls which is the our trail head. We started upward trek since we need to catch the night mail to Colombo. Hence it is the easiest way to reach Nuwaraeliya rather than getting down to Bomburu fall from the reservoir. We came to the Bomburu fall early morning and purchased the tickets. This remind me my first visit to Bomburu fall, at that time there is no any ticket counter or any notice board or even people.

However we reached to the fall as the first visitors on that day. And then we climbed upward of the fall from the right side of the forest patch. Then we came to the top of the fall and explored the surrounding for any clue. After that we started our hike and we knew that this might be a 10-15km hike upto the Reservoir. It took almost 8 hours to complete and reached to Nuwaraeliya and we left to Nanuoya to catch the train.
