In 2016 we donate books to Dambarella village library. Again we received books from few friends & collected large amount of books. So we plan to visit there & donate books to them again. But day by day this work got delayed due to many reasons. Finally we plan to visit there on 20th February. Around 6.00 a.m we start our journey & first reached to Embilipitiya around 10.30 a.m . From there we went to Damberella village via Kumbugoda Aara. When we reach there they warmly welcome us. We collected nearly 1,000 books & we donate it to them. We spent big time with them & leave from there with full of happiness.
Our main task completed & next we went to “Safari Park” at Ridiyagama. We went there on Sooriyawewa road via Kuttigala & Padalangala.
We came to park around 1.30 p.m & lots of school trip buses were there. Fortunately all of them completed there park visit. We firstly brought the tickets & waiting in the queue to safari ride. Safari buses arranged by park & if crowded time people have to wait more time for bus. Other option is get a privately operate jeep & have to pay for it separately. For this time only 3 of us for the bus. Mainly 4 sections in the park at present. Those are “Lion Zone” , “Herbivores Zone”, “Bengal Tiger Zone” & “Elephant Zone”. Park had 500 acres of land & at present 200 acres of land utilized for these 4 sections. Animals lived there very freely & comparing to space needs more animals. Only 3 Bengal Tigers we can see in Tiger Zone. All other male animals gone under medical treatment because they attacked each other & got injured. Construction work of another new sections in progress & near future open it for people. We had 1 hour Safari Bus ride there very leisurely because only we were in the bus. We came back to park office around 3.00 p.m & it was very memorable experience for our little one.
After that we went to see “Madunagala Hot Water Wells”. We went there around 3.30 p.m & there also no visitors at that time. We had good time there & prepared to our return journey. We start our return journey around 4.30 p.m & on the way stopped at “Chandrika Wewa”. After spent little time there & enjoy its evening views. We came back to home around 11.00 p.m after completing another memorable trip with lots of new experiences.
